This next lesson in web 2.0 was about search tools. In particular Rollyo. I am sure you are wondering what in the heck is Rollyo. Let me just say it took me all day to come up with how I was going to explain what Rollyo was because I was completely lost at first. Rollyo is like having my very own search engine. Most people including myself would just go to Google and type in a search about a topic and get results from different websites; don't get me wrong you can still do that but it's hard to know what websites you can trust. By having a Rollyo account you are allowed to make a search engine with only websites you trust and use on a regular basis, then search within only those websites.
So I created my search engine, but I really don't know what to put there. I don't have a group of websites that I search regularly. I see that this tool can be useful, but I am just not for sure how I can use it yet. I hope that after our brown bag meeting on Friday here at the library, I can actually find a reason to use it.
I hope to repost about this new tool later on.
